St. Patrick’s Day 5k
Shamrock and roll into Ocean City for the St. Patrick’s Day Boardwalk 5k on March 14, beginning at 9:00 am. The race will start directly behind Shenanigans Irish Pub, and continue south towards the Inlet, around the OC Pier, then under the tram station, making a 180-degree turn back onto the Boardwalk and head north to 16th Street, turning around again to the finish line at 4th Street. The $30 race fee includes participation in the 5k race, St. Patrick’s Day runner-style t-shirt, and a race finishers ribbon. Runners 21 and older can also redeem a free Guinness at Shenanigan’s Irish Pub with post-race music and refreshments.
Ocean City St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Dublin over to Coastal Highway for the 41st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 14, beginning promptly at 12:00 pm. This parade is an Ocean City favorite, with marching units, floats, and local celebrities! Dress in your best green attire, and come ready to have fun with your friends and family as you catch candy and beads along the parade route.
The parade begins at 60th Street and marches south towards the Judging Stand at the 45th Street Shopping Center, where the viewing and judging stands are located. The parade continues to the 45th Street Village, where the Irish-American festival is held with food, drink, and fun! At 45th Street, you will find a spirited Irish festival, complete with live entertainment from Kevin O’Brennan, and the Shoreline Band.
