Ranger-Led Programs Teach Children About Assateague Wildlife

Families learned to harvest their own clams and crabs this past weekend during ranger-led programs at Assateague Island National Seashore. During Happy as a Clammer!, participants borrowed clam rakes and headed into the shallow bay waters to try out their new skills. During the Beautiful Swimmers program that followed, adults and children alike used trotlines and chicken bait to attract blue crabs.
